Core to Core Communication

Audience: Control Programmers

Prerequisite: Level 2

This class will discuss how to use the tools in Q-SYS Designer Software to send audio, video and control signals between Q-SYS Cores. Q-LAN receivers and transmitters for sending clocked audio from core to core, Control Link for sending controls, and System Link for sharing NV series video streams. We will show how to prepare for, as well as how to deploy these tools and concepts. After a live demonstration, there will be a short Q&A period.

Objective: Learn to send Audio, Video, and Control between Cores

Concepts Covered: We will learn how to send audio, video, and control between Cores. Learn what components are available and how to efficiently deploy multi-core systems.

Outline:

  1. Slides showing what can and can’t be sent between cores and network considerations.
  2. Bring in blocks in QDS.
  3. Show live examples of sending and receiving (both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint).
